New Online Tax Payment
  Jefferson County now provides you with the ability to pay your local County taxes on line by using your credit card or e-check. Click on the link below for the method you wish to use.

Credit cards accepted are Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

You will be charged a convenience fee by the credit card processor for the use of this service.

Important Notice: Payment deadlines
Due date for 1st half taxes: December 20, of current year.

Due date for 2nd half taxes: May 10, of next year ensuing.

  Please use your tax statements for amounts and ID numbers needed to complete your payment. If you did not receive a tax statement, please contact the Treasurer's office.

  You may pay past due taxes on line. Please contact the County Treasurer's office for the payment amount due, as interest and fees accrue after the due date.

  Partial payments may be accepted with prior approval from the Treasurer's office.

  Jefferson County now offers an escrow payment plan for past due taxes. By Kansas State Statute, property with taxes past due for 3 or more years is eligible for Tax Sale. Please contact the office at 1-877-278-4118 for details.
Motor Vehicle Renewals
  On line motor vehicle renewals are also available by clicking "Pay Taxes" or renew your motor vehicle tags by phone by calling toll free 1-866-457-8247 and using the PIN numbers on your renewal notice. Follow the voice instructions to complete your transaction.

  If renewing your tags on-line or by phone, payment is made utilizing a VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS. The credit card processor charges a convenience for the use of this service.
